Monday:
Weather permitting, we go outside for PE. Children are taught the importance of healthful living, working with a team and most importantly, they release all that wonderful energy that they have! For safety reasons, please be sure your child wears sneakers and outside clothes on this day.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday :
I teach using a thematic unit approach that focuses on Art, Music and Theater. The units I teach are literature-based and designed to channel children’s natural enthusiasm for music, movement, art and drama into a productive learning experience. We draw, paint, create, sing, dance, pretend, laugh and learn together! I often incorporate technology into my lessons to make the experience more meaningful. We have such fun together!
Thursday :
I take each class to the Media Center to circulate (check-out books) and participate in a lesson on the Smartboard. This is a fantastic interactive way to listen and learn as it relates to our thematic unit. They are developing a love for reading as well as an understanding of the various functions of the media center. Please help your child to remember to return their books every Thursday.
REMEMBER:
~Return media books on Thursday
~Wear casual clothes and sneakers on Monday
